ARRL Exam Testing

We are now hosting ARRL exams here in Clay Center KS!!

Testing dates are as follows:

  • 26 May 2016 - (Completed)
  • 16 June 2016 - (Completed)
  • 21 July 2016 - (Completed)
  • 18 Aug 2016 - (Completed)
  • We are now testing on an as needed basis. Please contact us for an available date to get tested. KEØEYH

 

  •  All testing will be done at our regular Club meeting location (The Clay County Emergency Service Academy, 703 2nd St. in Clay Center.)        

 

  •   The ARRL VEC Exam Fee for 2017 is $15.00. The exact amount would be appreciated or a check made out to the ARRL/VEC (for one attempt at all three license elements).

If a candidate fails an element at an exam session 

and wants to re-test for the same element, 

an additional fee will be required. 

 

  • During the test session, you will need to provide us with the following:
  • Photo Identification (typically a valid Driver’s License).
  • A COPY of your existing Amateur Radio License (IF you are currently licensed).
  • Your FRN (IF you have one – it’s ON the License) or your SSN.

Wednesday Nite Nets & Monthly Club Meetings


The Clay Center Ks Amateur Radio Club meets every third Thursday of each month, 7:00 PM / 1900 HRS at the Clay County Emergency Service Academy, 703 2nd St. in Clay Center

 

We have 2 nets every week:

 

Tuesdays: 8 PM  (2000 Hrs)

We link to the M.A.R.S. repeater in  Manhattan Ks for their net

 

Wednesdays: 7:30 PM (1930 Hrs)

Our local net  (M.A.R.S. is link into this net as well) and afterwords a 10 Meter net (usually on 28.450 USB) following the Rag chew on VHF.

 

 

Dave (KD7QAS) has graciously setup an Echolink node on our repeater, search for KD7QAS-R
